Don't write as much reviews as I used to. But had to say something about La Vie. I've tried a lot of the nail salons around Bgame Ave and Buena's place, La Vie Nail Bar, has surpassed its growing pains and happy to see the salon thrive and grow (she added a new location in East Bay)!! One star: accommodating to walk ins but best to make appointments (saw few men over the weekend getting pedicures) Two Star: they clean every work station after customer leaves area , sanitize equipment and change gloves (not experienced what person who complained about cleanliness). Third Star: only folks talking alot are the customers. Fourth Star: abundance of colors and beautiful nail art (watched a few technicians working on clients while I was getting pedicure) - very meticulous! Fifth Star: There's new services and complimentary snack/drink menu. The foot, hand and arm massage received w the Mani/Pedi - ooh so nice and strong but relaxing. But Seriously the Star is for their Stellar customer service. I had a regular pedicure and when I walked out realized my flip flops marked up a nail. I returned and they fixed it - guess what - while sitting there didn't realize it but slipper messed it up again after it was fixed !! -- another tech fixed it. Well I had to get going and sincerely thanked them and carefully walked out. Guess what --- got home and yes- my fault again same toe! Ugh I walked in the next day - embarrassed bc it was 3rd return -- saw Buena at the front and she, no hesitation, said she could fix it right away and this time I waited longer for it to dry. And all is good w the toes !! But really, Stellar Customer service for my own "mess up". Thank you again.

I love coming here! Helen always does such a great job on my nails. I love getting Gel-X, they're better than acrylics, well for me at least. Acrylic always makes me itchy lol. I need to come back for a pedi!!

I've been coming here for almost 2 years and I can't be thankful for this place being in Burlingame. Although I don't live there, my husband and I come often to "escape" our area for a change of scenery. :) I am also so excited that they started a Head Spa service, which I will get to later. I have been to many many nail salons, and like many people, there is good reason for me to continue to return to La Vie. The staff understand quality, and relaxation during the session. All the ones I've encountered, Monica, and Fatima, and one other, I forgot her name, really take the time to work on me. They take their service to the optimal level, and I'm not just another customer for them to "count" so the business has high turn over to make money. The vibe of the place is quiet, and I feel that when I walk in I am respected and they take appointments as priority. Other salons I've experienced, although they take appointments, they take walk-ins as well, but I did not feel that they prioritized customers who have appointments. Many times if the salon is busy, they will still take you, ask you to wait 10 mins, but you're really waiting 20+ mins. The service I'm getting for the price I pay is very good, and the massage that goes with the service, is not just a soft rub that I get elsewhere, they really put in their strength and give you a nice massage. I'm excited to experience their Head Spa service next time. I had the pleasure to meet the Manager/Owner of the business and I told her that I read a few of her replies on here, and I appreciated her honestly in her reply. I truly believe that its not all the time that the customer is right! Businesses need to back themselves up too if a customer is making things up that aren't true. As I was talking to her about the Head Spa, she told me she got trained in Japan and Korea, and one of the spas she got trained at was one of the spas I went to. So you can imagine how excited I am. Keep up the great service La Vie! :)
